Malley's Chocolates Summer Reading Program Read Your Way to a Sweet Treat

 

How the Program Works

  1. Visit the register at any Malley's location and ask for your game card. Readers from infant to age 18 are eligible to participate. Game cards are only available in stores. Supplies are limited, so get them early!
  2. Start reading! When you've read for an hour, have a parent or guardian initial your game card.
  3. Bring your initialed game card to your favorite Malley's location for a validation sticker for every four hours your child reads. Just show it to any team member in the store. Readers can get one validation sticker per store visit.

 

Mid-Point Prizes

After four hours of reading, participants earn one free 1.75 oz chocolate bar! Choose from Milk Chocolate Pretzel Crunch, Chocolate Crunch, Almond, CLE Bar or Dark Chocolate Pretzel Crunch.

 

Finisher Prize

After eight hours of reading, participants earn a coupon redeemable for either a free child's size sundae or a free 1.75 oz. chocolate bar. 

 

Grand Prize

Super readers who complete the bonus hours of reading earn up to two entries into our grand prize raffle. Each extra hour of reading is worth one raffle entry. One lucky winner will win a $500 gift card for a candy shopping spree, a free Ultimate Sundae to share with your book buddies and your name on the marquee at our Lakewood Parlor.

Storytime

Malley's Chocolates Summer Reading Program Storytime

Throughout the summer, we're hosting a sweet storytime at each of our locations. Of course, we’ll also be sampling some treats too. Storytime attendees will each earn one sticker for their Read Your Way to a Sweet Treat game board.

All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Seating will not be provided. Plan to bring something for your child to sit on, such as a beach towel or blanket.

Book Swaps

Malley's Chocolates Summer Reading Program Book Swap

Ready for your next page-turner? Swap books! Visit one of our Parlor stores between 6-8 p.m. on June 1, July 6 and August 3 to trade your most recent book for a new one. Simply place your book (or books!) on the designated table and choose another from the available selections. Books of all reading levels are eligible for the swap!

Book Worm Sundae

We've got a special sundae for our readers at our three Parlor locations, all summer long. The Book Worm sundae is one scoop of chocolate ice cream placed on a bed of whipped cream, topped with brownie crumbles and gummi worms, and served with a side of Famous Fudge Sauce.
